The Library is offering Friday meetup events for homeschool children to get together and participate in STEAM related enrichment activities. We’ll give a brief presentation on subjects like 3D printing, coding, robotics, electronics, book discussions, crafts, and more.

This Friday’s event will be:
Light Painting – In this class, we’ll be exploring the effects of long-exposure photography to create dazzling “photo paintings” made of light. Students will learn about how photographs are made, and will have a chance to make their own light painting photos using glowsticks and LED lights. All photos made during the class will be shared and emailed to parents, as well as featured on library social media.

*****Students are free to bring in their smartphones to use as well, but they will need to have downloaded a long exposure app beforehand. We recommend NightCap Camera or Slow Shutter Cam. Students are not required to bring a smartphone, as the library will provide one for the class.
