Each month, the library is offering a special event for girls to learn computer programming and coding. In each class, we’ll focus on a different type of coding skill, whether it be designing video games like Terraria or Minecraft, making animations like My Little Pony, or controlling mini-robots made from Legos. All skill levels are welcome, especially beginners.

In this class, we’ll be learning how to make animated cartoons where pixel animals and people can talk and interact with each other. Then we’ll post our finished projects to share with others.

Please bring a laptop to use during the class if you are able. In most classes, we’ll be using the program Scratch to write code. You can use Scratch for free by going to scratch.mit.edu
