At this camp, attendees will work together to put on a play that brings a story to life. They will design the backdrops, create the props, and make their own costumes. Because this is a reader’s theater, there is no need to memorize lines, as they will be able to read from their scripts during the show. We want to create a welcoming and all-inclusive environment for our little readers. If your child is not comfortable with the spotlight, there will be plenty of other important roles to fill, such as costume and set design.

This is a five-day camp, followed by a show day for family and friends. By signing up for this event, you are signing up to attend all five camp days and the show day.

All materials will be provided.

The schedule is as follows:

7/17: Introduction to Reader’s Theater and script

7/19: Set and prop design

7/24: Costume design

7/26: Play practice

8/2: Dress rehearsal

8/4: Show Day
