This month, we will start our Story Time with a mindfulness exercise called the mindfulness body scan. This brings awareness to different body parts and helps the mind focus. Then, we will read No, David! by David Shannon, paying close attention to the lack of self-control David has throughout the book. Afterward, we will learn about the traffic light technique that helps us stop and think before we act. Finally, we will look at some self-regulation tools that will help us get back to the green zone we learned about last Story Time.
