Join us at 3:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month for a social-emotional story time with Miss Racheal! We will start each story time learning a calming strategy, like a breathing exercise or mindfulness exercise. Then, we will read a book about a social-emotional topic, such as emotion regulation or friendship. We will end with a mini-lesson that goes along with the printable activity. Be sure to print out the attachments so your child can follow along with the lessons.
This month, we will start our Story Time with 5 yoga poses. These poses can help calm our bodies down when we are feeling anxious. Then, we will read The Little Book of Big What-Ifs by Renata Liwska, thinking about some of the things that make us worry. Finally, we will learn about the circle of things we can control, and the circle of things we cannot control.
