Welcome to Diversity and Inclusion Story Time! Diversity and inclusion are important concepts for children to learn in order to become accepting of those whose cultural identities might be different from their own. Aspects of identity can include race, ability, gender, ethnicity, etc. On the third Thursday of each month, we will read stories that include characters or ideas that represent these different identities. This exposes children to characters in literature who might be different from them in some way, as well as provides children who identify with these cultural identities an opportunity to connect with a character who represents them.
