The Library holds a minimal amount of genealogical material consisting of mainly family and county histories and a subscription to Ancestry.com for use by the public in the library.  Ask for assistance at the Information Desk.

The Society offers county histories, family biographies, census records, Bible records, cemetery records, Shaker & Quaker history, Civil War and  Revolutionary War along with other war veterans’ records & pension files, tax duplicates from 1800, records and indexes for: abstracts of wills and estates, obituaries, funeral home records, birth, marriage and death records, guardianship and naturalization,  Ancestry.com, Roots Magic, Newspaper.com Lebanon Gazette, Miami Gazette and the Western Star issues from 1807 through 1922 more than 26,000 pages now available online at https://ohiomemory.org/

Fees: Admission:  $10.00 for adults, $6.00 for students ages 5-18; $2.00 discount for active military.
Copies:  25 cents ea.  Research:  $15 per hour, by volunteers

The Museum is next to the Lebanon Public Library and has an extensive collection of genealogy and local history materials.  Included are:  Shaker history, National Normal University information, church histories, topical files, family files, local newspapers since 1807, atlases, works by Warren County authors, some court records, cemetery records, tax records, Quaker history, and more.

The Records Center has marriage records (1803 to 1996), records of wills and estates (from 1800), birth & death records (1867 to 1908), apprenticeships (1824-1867), soldiers’ discharges (1865-1954), tax duplicates (from 1809; some gaps in records), records from Commissioners’ meetings, divorce records, and coroner’s inquests (1884-1900s).
